With its Stage / Emploi Hôtellerie Gastronomie program, Gastronomie France aims to meet a growing demand from international students and graduates to carry out a professional experience in France, enabling French institutions to recruit international talent.

Gastronomie France works with networks of restaurants and international hotels in different regions of France who wish to share the rich French gastronomic heritage with their interns and international employees.

The program cost for hotels and restaurants is free. In exchange, they undertake to:

  • Welcome our candidates for a period of 3 months to 6 months. The period may be extended to 1 year if the candidate holds a PVT visa.
  • Provide accommodation and meals.
  • Offrir
    A monthly bonus of € 554 for trainees and a SMIC for graduates.
  • Respect the missions of internship of the students and the missions described on the contract of work of the graduates.
  • Provide an internship / work certificate at the end of the work experience

Gastronomie France, for its part, is committed to:

  • Ensure the selection of profiles that meet the needs of hotels and restaurants
  • Organize an interview with the selected candidate
  • Arrange the arrival of the employee to the hotel or restaurant
  • Ensure the smooth running of the professional experience by organizing one-on-one interviews

International Candidates

Our candidates, ages 18 to 35,
Are from gastronomic and hotel schools located all over the world. They are either students looking for an internship that will enable them to validate their training or young graduates looking for a job that will value their career with an experience in the country king of gastronomy. They also have prior professional experience in the sector.

Our trainees and young graduates have varied profiles and seek professional experience in the following fields:

  • The kitchen trades: Head chef, cook, kitchen clerk, party manager, pastry chef, baker.
  • The trades of the room: Room manager, butler, chef de rang, waiter, clerk, sommelier, bartender.
  • The reception and hospitality trades: Receptionist, receptionist, valet, porter, porter, bellman, lift.

We select candidates who have at least a basic level in French. In order to improve their level before the start of their professional experience, we also offer them several months before their departure to take online French courses taught by certified teachers and focused on the vocabulary of gastronomy and hotels.

In addition, we give them the option to start their stay in France by immersion from one to several weeks.

By participating in our program, we commit ourselves to our candidates to:

  • Support the institution’s search
  • Preparing for maintenance
  • Provide them with help with administrative formalities (application for visa, relations with the French administration and host institutions …)
  • Ensure the smooth running of the professional experience by organizing one-on-one interviews
  • Provide them with the option of taking French lessons.
